Softball Recap: Baldwin Indians vs. Columbia Tigers
After flying high against Clay last Friday, Baldwin came back down to earth. The Baldwin Indians fell 6-3 to the Columbia Tigers on Tuesday. Unfortunately, that's the first time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, with their most recent loss being a 6-3 defeat on Tuesday.
Makaila Fry made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4. What's more, she posted two hits, the most she's had since back in April of 2024. Kendall North was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
Baldwin's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Columbia, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.
The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Columbia beat Baldwin by a score of 6-3 later that day.
