Basketball Recap: Redan Takes a Loss

Redan was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a blow against the Salem Seminoles, falling 70-37. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Seminoles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 76-51 back in December of 2024.

Despite the defeat, Redan had strong showings from Jordan Francis, who posted nine points, and Noah Melton, who earned eight points. Melton is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last five games he's played. Tae Beavers was another key player, putting up three points and seven boards.

Redan's record is now 4-14. As for Salem, their win bumped their record up to 9-16.

Redan didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 65-62 loss against Stone Mountain on the 8th. As for Salem, they have also already played their next match, a 56-53 victory against Drew Charter on the 10th.
