Basketball Recap: Grape Creek Comes Up Short

Grape Creek lost against Jim Ned back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Grape Creek Eagles had to suffer through a 72-40 loss at the hands of the Jim Ned Indians. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1237th, while the Indians are ranked 590th).

Grape Creek dropped their record down to 8-12 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Jim Ned, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season.

As for Jim Ned, they are taking a road trip to take on Merkel at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Jim Ned knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Merkel likes a good challenge.
