Basketball Recap: Tara Majok's Big Game Can't Quite Lead DSST: Montview over DSST: College View

DSST: Montview lost against DSST: College View back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The DSST: Montview Knights took a 57-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of the DSST: College View Wolves.

DSST: Montview lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Tara Majok, who dropped a double-double with 21 points and ten rebounds. His big performance that evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least 17 points. Mauor Mabior was another key player, putting up eight points along with seven boards and four steals.

DSST: College View's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Joshua Sosa, who went 9-for-11 on his way to 23 points and four steals. Sosa has been hot recently, having posted three or more steals the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Josue Tomita, who shot 64% from the field to rack up 16 points in addition to six rebounds and three steals.

DSST: Montview's loss dropped their record down to 12-10. As for DSST: College View, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-4 record this season.

DSST: Montview wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 66-59 win against Denver North on the 21st. As for DSST: College View, they have also already played their next matchup, a 59-37 defeat against Thomas Jefferson on the 22nd.
