Preview: Milford Mavericks vs. Plymouth Wildcats
Milford has been on the road for three straight, but on Thursday they'll finally head home. They will finish 2023 at home by hosting the Plymouth Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. Milford has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Milford scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They managed a 69-63 victory over Salem. Given Milford's advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 104th, while Salem is ranked 336th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Plymouth's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They took a hard 60-44 fall against Novi. Plymouth has not had much luck with Novi recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Milford's win was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-2. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.3 points per game. As for Plymouth, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.
