Clay is a perfect 6-0 against Genoa Area since May of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Eagles will be playing in front of their home fans against the Comets at 5:00 p.m. The timing is sure in Clay's favor as the team sits on ten straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Genoa Area has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.

Clay will bounce into Tuesday's contest after beating Anthony Wayne, who they had gone 0-5 against in their five prior meetings. The Eagles narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Generals 4-2.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 19 runs the game before, Genoa Area was a bit more limited in their matchup on Monday. They lost 10-2 to Oak Harbor.

Genoa Area saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Makayla Magrum, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI. Izzy Britt also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Clay's victory bumped their record up to 12-3. As for Genoa Area, their loss dropped their record down to 5-9.

Clay got the 'W' in their previous matchup back in March of 2025 against Genoa Area by a conclusive 24-3 score. Do the Eagles have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Comets turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
