Basketball Recap: Delphi Community Comes Up Short

Delphi Community was the 62-56 winner over West Central when they last played one another back in November of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Delphi Community Oracles fell 54-43 to the West Central Trojans on Saturday. The Oracles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

West Central's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Sydney Mellon, who posted 13 points. Another player making a difference was Madisyn DeMoss, who had seven points in addition to 12 rebounds and five blocks.

Delphi Community's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for West Central, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 9-3.

Delphi Community and Lewis Cass will compete for holiday cheer at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lewis Cass will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Delphi Community surely won't give up without a fight. As for West Central, they will welcome Frontier at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in West Central's favor as the squad sits on five straight wins at home while Frontier has been banged up by seven consecutive losses on the road.
