Volleyball Recap: Barnesville Comes Up Short

Barnesville lost against Union Local back in August, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Shamrocks came up short against the Jets, falling 3-0. The Shamrocks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-8, 25-19.

Avery Bliss paced Barnesville's offense, picking up six kills. Bliss got some help from Londyn Gibson and her 17 assists.

Barnesville's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Union Local, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.

Barnesville didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 loss against Shenandoah on the 13th. As for Union Local, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Meadowbrook on the 13th.
