Basketball Game Preview: Waco Lions vs. Lake Belton Broncos

The Waco Lions will face off against the Lake Belton Broncos at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Waco is coming into the match on a five-game losing streak.

Last Friday, Waco lost to Connally at home by a 54-38 margin. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 917th, while the Cadets are ranked 454th).

Meanwhile, Lake Belton made easy work of Austin Royals HomeSchool on Monday and carried off a 59-36 win.

Lake Belton's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 13-10. As for Waco, their loss dropped their record down to 7-16.
