Ford Smith Delivers Best Performance of Season
Ford Smith produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Covington-Douglas to the win on Thursday. Smith rushed for 129 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 7.2 yards per carry, and also threw for 315 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 11.7 yards per attempt. The bulk of those rushing yards came from one huge play: a run that gained an incredible 74 yards.
The victory for Covington-Douglas keeps them at an undefeated 7-0. Smith and Covington-Douglas will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Coyle at 7:00 p.m.

Robinson was dynamite, rushing for 96 yards and three touchdowns on only ten carries, while also picking up 63 receiving yards. Covington-Douglas Wins Seventh-Straight Thanks to Camden Thayer
Covington-Douglas picked up their seventh consecutive win on Thursday thanks in part to Camden Thayer. Thayer did his part (and then some), picking up 131 receiving yards and a touchdown for the 'W'. He didn't just play on offense: he also made three total tackles and defended a pass in addition to snagging an interception.
