Softball Recap: Parrish Community Comes Up Short

Parrish Community's tournament run continued when they took on Eau Gallie on Saturday. The Bulls fell just short of the Commodores by a score of 3-1. The Bulls have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Emmaline Van Beck spent all 7.2 innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on eight hits and racked up ten Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Parrish Community saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kyndal France, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Parrish Community's defeat dropped their record down to 9-5-1. As for Eau Gallie, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-2 record this season.

Parrish Community wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, an 8-4 win against St. Cloud on the 4th. As for Eau Gallie, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 4-3 loss against Hagerty on the 4th.
