Baseball Preview: Silas Rams vs. Peninsula Seahawks
Silas is 0-3 against Peninsula since May of 2022 but things could change on Tuesday. The Rams will take on the Seahawks at 4:00 p.m. Silas will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last.
Silas is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They blew past Mount Tahoma 17-0 on Wednesday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Rams with their most commanding win of the season.
Landon Smith was a major factor no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over four innings pitched. Smith was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with two RBI and one run.

In other batting news, Max Yoder and Carter Lystra did most of the damage at the plate: Yoder went 2-for-4 with five RBI, while Lystra got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Silas is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Peninsula, their loss dropped their record down to 11-6-1.
