Baseball Game Preview: Sutter Huskies vs. Destiny Christian Academy Lions

For the second straight game, Sutter will face off against Destiny Christian Academy. The Huskies will welcome the Lions at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in Sutter's favor as the squad sits on six straight wins at home while Destiny Christian Academy has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.

Sutter fought the good fight in their extra-innings match against Destiny Christian Academy on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Lions by a score of 5-4.

For Destiny Christian Academy's part, Hyeongho Park made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing eight innings while giving up four earned runs off four hits. Park was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one double. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kolton Pedler, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. He is becoming a predictor of Destiny Christian Academy's success: when he posts at least two stolen bases the team is 5-1 (and 10-11-1 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Brayden Sodestrom, who went 2-for-4 with one RBI.

Sutter's loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 19-1 and their overall record down to 25-4. As for Destiny Christian Academy, they moved to 15-12-1 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak.
