Softball Recap: Riverside-Durham Victorious

Riverside-Durham took a ten-run defeat the last time they faced off against Athens Drive, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Riverside-Durham Pirates narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Athens Drive Jaguars 17-15. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Pirates considering their one-run performance the game before.

Paris Chavis was a standout: she fired off two home runs and three RBI while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances. Anna Taylor was another key player, scoring four runs and stealing Two bases. while going 4-for-5.
