Soccer Recap: Acadiana Comes Up Short

After flying high against Beau Chene last Wednesday, Acadiana came back down to earth. The Acadiana Rams came up short against the Catholic Bears on Friday, falling 4-1. While losing is never fun, the Rams can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana soccer rankings (they are ranked 97th, while the Bears are ranked 13th).

Acadiana's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-9-1. As for Catholic, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-1-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Acadiana will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Lafayette at 7:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. Catholic will wrap up 2024 with a road trip to face off against Teurlings Catholic at 11:00 a.m. on December 28th.
