Softball Recap: West Columbus Comes Up Short

Friday just wasn't the day for West Columbus's offense. They fell just short of the South Columbus Stallions by a score of 2-0 on Friday. The Vikings' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it four in a row.

West Columbus' loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for South Columbus, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-6.

Looking ahead, West Columbus will challenge East Bladen at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The last three games the Eagles have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for South Columbus, they are taking a road trip to face off against Heide Trask at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Titans' pitching crew has only allowed 2.8 runs per game this season, so the Stallions' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
