Baseball Recap: Utica Takes a Loss

Utica was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 5-2 to the Romeo Bulldogs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Chieftains of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2023.

Utica saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jimmy Lasceski, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Utica's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Romeo, the win was the fifth in a row (dating back to last season) for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Coming up, Utica will take on Lakeview at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Romeo, they will venture away from home to face off against Armada at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
