Baseball Recap: Mendenhall Continues Home Dominance on Monday

There's no place like home for Mendenhall, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 9-7 win over the Raleigh Lions on Monday. The victory continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Lions: they've now won six in a row.

The team relied heavily on Kane Butler, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Ty Davis, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-4.

Mendenhall's win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-8. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.3 runs over those games. As for Raleigh, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-15 record this season.
