Baseball Recap: Whitney Now 5-1 over Last Six Games

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Whitney had no problem doing just that on Friday. They came out on top against the Fairfield Eagles by a score of 6-2. This was a revenge game for the Wildcats: when they faced off against the Eagles on Thursday, they had to take a 6-4 loss.

Whitney has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-9 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games. As for Fairfield, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 20-6.

Whitney will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Eagles: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
