Baseball Recap: Miami Beach Comes Up Short

Miami Beach was the 6-1 winner over Canterbury when they last played one another back in March of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. Miami Beach fell 8-3 to Canterbury on Friday. The Hi-Tides have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Miami Beach got a good showing from Daniel Garcia, who tossed 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Garcia also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Miami Beach is 6-3 when he allows at most one earned run, but 2-7 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Lenonx Munoz made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Miami Beach's loss dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Canterbury, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 10-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Miami Beach will head out to face off against Hialeah at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Canterbury, they will venture away from home to challenge Cooper City at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
