Baseball Game Preview: O'Connor Eagles vs. Ponderosa Mustangs

The O'Connor Eagles will take on the Ponderosa Mustangs in a tournament on Wednesday.

O'Connor is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Castle View just ended the team's five-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Sabercats by a score of 4-3.

O'Connor got a good showing from Braden Schlink, who tossed 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. The dominant performance also gave Schlink a new career-low in walks (zero).

On the hitting side, O'Connor saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aiden Woolwine, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Mustangs on Tuesday. Ponderosa walked away with a 9-6 victory over Damonte Ranch. The win made it back-to-back victories for Ponderosa.

Ponderosa's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for O'Connor, their loss dropped their record down to 7-5.
