Basketball Game Preview: Maranacook Black Bears vs. Lisbon Greyhounds

The Maranacook Black Bears will head out on the road to square off against the Lisbon Greyhounds at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lisbon took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Maranacook, who comes in off a win.

Maranacook took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They walked away with a 42-30 win over Mount Abram.

Meanwhile, Lisbon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 23rd straight loss dating back to last season. They took a blow against Dirigo, falling 42-7. The matchup marked the Greyhounds' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Lisbon's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Maranacook, their victory bumped their record up to 3-1.

Everything came up roses for Maranacook against Lisbon in their previous matchup back in January, as the squad secured a 72-6 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Maranacook since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
