Softball Recap: South View Tigers vs. Seventy-First Falcons

In what's become a running theme this season, South View gave their fans yet another huge win on Tuesday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Seventy-First Falcons a 15-0 shutout. Winning may never get old, but South View sure is getting used to it with their sixth in a row.

Kaylie Cook was a major factor no matter where she played. She struck out nine batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). Cook was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 1-for-2.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Paige Ford, who went 2-for-3 with a home run, three RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Savanna Delp, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with two runs, a triple, and an RBI.

South View is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 18-3 record this season. As for Seventy-First, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-18.
