Preview: Adrian Blackhawks vs. Butler Bears
Adrian has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will face off against The Butler Bears at TBD on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Last Friday, Adrian got the win against Stockton/Sheldon by a conclusive 34-10. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 27-3.
Meanwhile, Butler made easy work of El Dorado Springs on Friday and carried off a 36-14 win.
Dylan Davidson and Xavier Wisdom were among the main playmakers for Butler as the former rushed for 141 yards and three touchdowns on only 13 carries and the latter rushed for 258 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 12.9 yards per carry. Wisdom is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in the last three games he's played.
Adrian's victory was their tenth straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 10-0. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 35.2 points. As for Butler, their win bumped their record up to 9-1.
Adrian beat Butler 29-18 in their previous matchup back in November of 2022. Will Adrian repeat their success, or does Butler have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
