Park School is 7-1 against St. Frances Academy since April of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Bruins will head out to face off against the Panthers at 4:00 p.m. Park School will be strutting in after a win while St. Frances Academy will be coming in after a loss.

Last Wednesday, Park School was able to grind out a solid victory over Chapelgate Christian Academy, taking the game 7-4. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bruins.

The team relied heavily on Jack Rogers, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. He also put up a double, which was his first of the season. Owen Cyr was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-3.

Meanwhile, St. Frances Academy fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Chapelgate Christian Academy on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Yellowjackets by a score of 5-4.

Julian Mercer led a balanced group of hitters, scoring a run and stealing four bases. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged two or more in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Dorian Goldston, who went 2-for-3 with one triple and one stolen base.

Park School's win was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-2. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for St. Frances Academy, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-2.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Friday as neither team is afraid to steal. Park School has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.6 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like St. Frances Academy struggles in that department as they've been averaging 8.9 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.

Everything went Park School's way against St. Frances Academy when the teams last played back in April of 2024, as Park School made off with a 14-4 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bruins since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
