Basketball Recap: Prescott Takes a Loss

Prescott's tournament run continued when they took on Rolling Hills Prep on Thursday. The Prescott Badgers fell just short of the Rolling Hills Prep Huskies by a score of 52-50. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Badgers came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 11th in Arizona, while the Huskies are ranked 77th in California).

Despite the loss, Prescott still got an impressive performance from Uriah Tenette, who went 8 for 16 on his way to 28 points and six rebounds. The match was Tenette's 35th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Josiah Peoples, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten boards.

Prescott's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Rolling Hills Prep, their win bumped their record up to 13-5.

Prescott didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 74-65 defeat against Mesa on the 3rd. As for Rolling Hills Prep, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 60-55 loss against Oakland Tech on the 3rd.
