Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Gordo). They never let the Oakman Wildcats get on the board and left with a 14-0 win on Wednesday. The victory continues a trend for the Green Wave in their matchups with the Wildcats: they've now won five in a row.

Emily Adams made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in February.

In other batting news, Lilly Porter was excellent, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Isabella Billings, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3.

Gordo always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .515. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Gordo now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Oakman, their loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 11-13.

Gordo will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Wildcats: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
