Basketball Recap: Austin Takes a Loss

Austin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the Lake Travis Cavaliers, falling 61-41. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Maroons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 63-41 back in January.

Austin's defeat dropped their record down to 7-22. As for Lake Travis, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-16 record this season.

Austin is taking a road trip to face off against Del Valle at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Lake Travis, they will welcome Bowie at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Lake Travis will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak.
