Julian Lewis' Big Game Leads Carrollton over Westlake
Carrollton picked up their seventh consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Julian Lewis. Lewis was dynamite, throwing for 325 yards and six touchdowns while completing 81.5% of his passes.
Carrollton's victory was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-0. Lewis and Carrollton will square off against Chapel Hill at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

DJ Bourdeaux Goes Supernova in Douglas County Win
Douglas County found a leader in DJ Bourdeaux as the team took down East Coweta on Friday. Bourdeaux was unstoppable, throwing for 285 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 12.4 yards per attempt, and also rushing for 100 yards on only five carries.
Douglas County pushed their record up to 6-1 with the victory, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season. A feisty cat fight will be fought when Tigers challenges Westlake at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Jayshon Stegall Turns in Season-Best Effort
On Friday, East Coweta had to settle for second even though Jayshon Stegall put up the best numbers he has all season. Stegall rushed for 188 yards and a touchdown while picking up 9.0 yards per carry, and also picked up 36 receiving yards. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 75-yard run.
East Coweta now has a losing record at 3-4. Stegall and East Coweta will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Carrollton at 7:30 p.m. on October 18th.

Travis Smith Jr Crosses Big Stat Threshold
Sadly, Travis Smith Jr posting his best game of the season wasn't enough to lead Westlake over Carrollton on Friday. Smith Jr picked up 259 receiving yards and two touchdowns. He's now once again averaging 100+ receiving yards (121.3) per game. He is becoming a predictor of Westlake's success: when he posts at least 80 receiving yards the team is undefeated (and 0-4 when he doesn't).
Westlake dropped their record down to 3-4 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. A feisty cat fight will be fought when Lions challenges Douglas County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Lindley Made His Presence Known in Douglas County's 42-17 Victory
Another Douglas County player making an appearance on this list is Zamarcus Lindley. He rushed for 192 yards and a touchdown while picking up 11.3 yards per carry.
This year, Lindley has run in 8 touchdowns while averaging 119.1 rushing yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after seven games last season, he had four rushing touchdowns.
