Basketball Game Preview: Williams Yellowjackets vs. Biggs Wolverines

The Williams Yellowjackets will take on the Biggs Wolverines at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Williams is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak.

Williams is headed into the match out to prove that what happened against Portola on Wednesday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Williams was outmatched by Portola and fell 66-38. The Yellowjackets were down 57-35 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Meanwhile, Biggs ended up a good deal behind Durham on Thursday and lost 58-40. While losing is never fun, the Wolverines can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 764th, while the Trojans are ranked 341st).

Williams' loss dropped their record down to 7-15. As for Biggs, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-8.

Williams and Biggs were neck-and-neck in their previous matchup back in January, but Williams came up empty-handed after a 47-46 loss. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Biggs' Brady Smith, who went 9-for-16 to rack up 22 points along with five assists and five boards.
