The Canton Little Giants will square off against the Illinois Valley Central Grey Ghosts at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Canton is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.2 runs per game this season.

On Thursday, Canton didn't have quite enough to beat Morton and fell 4-3.

Allison Wheeler made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Makaylynne Correa, who went 1-for-4 with one triple and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Illinois Valley Central fell victim to St. Joseph-Ogden and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They lost 10-0 to the Spartans. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Grey Ghosts have suffered against the Spartans since March 24, 2018.

This is the second loss in a row for Illinois Valley Central and nudges their season record down to 13-9. As for Canton, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-5.
