Basketball Game Preview: Ambassador Christian School Lions vs. Calvary Day School Cougars

Two dominant guards in Jacie Kirwin and Kayla George are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Ambassador Christian School Lions will face off against the Calvary Day School Cougars at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Ambassador Christian School is coming into the game hot, having won their last five games.

Ambassador Christian School is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past University Christian 83-16 on Tuesday. With that victory, the Lions brought their scoring average up to 54.2 points per game.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Ambassador Christian School to victory, but perhaps none more so than Faith Bekich, who posted 21 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Amelia (Bee) Layton, who had 11 points and three steals.

Ambassador Christian School was working as a unit and finished the game with 26 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since the start of last season.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Calvary Day School faced off against Asheville Christian Academy on Tuesday. The Cougars walked away with a 54-41 win over the Lions.

Ambassador Christian School's record is now 5-1. As for Calvary Day School, their record now sits at 5-0.
