Football Recap: Reagan Raiders vs. East Forsyth Eagles

On Friday, Reagan faced East Forsyth in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Reagan Raiders were outmatched by the East Forsyth Eagles at home and fell 69-21. That makes it the first time this season the Raiders have let down their home crowd.

Despite the loss, Reagan saw an underclassman step up: John Evans rushed for 140 yards and a touchdown on only 15 carries. The team also got some help courtesy of Elijah Davis, who picked up 101 receiving yards and a touchdown.

Even though they lost, Reagan was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 222 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in September of 2023.

This is the second loss in a row for Reagan and nudges their season record down to 2-2. As for East Forsyth, the win for them keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Reagan will venture away from home to square off against Glenn at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Reagan focused on turnovers this week as team gave up four on Friday. As for East Forsyth, they will face off against Davie at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. East Forsyth knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 31 point or more in their past four games -- so hopefully Davie likes a good challenge.
