Basketball Game Preview: Anderson Indians vs. Alexandria-Monroe Tigers

The Anderson Indians will be taking part in a tournament against the Alexandria-Monroe Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Anderson's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four matchups.

On Thursday, everything came up roses for Anderson against Yorktown as the squad secured an 82-53 victory. The Indians have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five contests by 23 points or more this season.

It was another big night for Javon Warfield, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 11 rebounds. He has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last seven times he's played.

Meanwhile, Alexandria-Monroe came up short against Borden on Saturday and fell 51-43. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Anderson pushed their record up to 8-1 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 74.7 points per game. As for Alexandria-Monroe, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-8.
