Preview: Park View Patriots vs. Dominion Titans
Park View is 0-10 against Dominion since February of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Park View Patriots will look to defend their home court against the Dominion Titans at 7:15 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.
Last Tuesday, Park View took a serious blow against Woodgrove, falling 72-30. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Park View has scored all season.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Messiah Dixon, who scored 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jonathan Nicola, who scored eight points.
Meanwhile, Dominion's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their 18th straight defeat. They took a 64-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of Loudoun Valley. Dominion has not had much luck with Loudoun Valley recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Park View's defeat dropped their record down to 9-13. As for Dominion, their loss was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-19.
Park View ended up a good deal behind Dominion when the teams last played back in February of 2023, losing 69-54. Can Park View avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
