Basketball Game Preview: Far Rockaway Seahorses vs. Richmond Hill Lions

After both having extra time off, the Far Rockaway Seahorses and the Richmond Hill Lions will dust off their jerseys to face off against one another at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Richmond Hill took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Far Rockaway, who comes in off a win.

Back in December of 2024, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Far Rockaway beat Springfield Gardens 37-32.

Meanwhile, Richmond Hill was not able to break out of their rough patch back in December of 2024 as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost to Van Buren at home by a 44-27 margin. One positive for the Lions, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

The win got Far Rockaway back to even at 3-3. As for Richmond Hill, their loss dropped their record down to 0-6.

Everything came up roses for Far Rockaway against Richmond Hill in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, as the squad secured a 48-19 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Far Rockaway since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
