South Sevier waltzed into their matchup on Friday with 23 straight wins... but they left with 24. They blew past the Millard Eagles 16-1. The Rams might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 14 contests by seven runs or more this season.

Kaitlyn Lynch was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Caitlin Nielson, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and one stolen base. She continues to improve, besting her previous run total in each of the last three games she's played. Tessa Woolsey was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

South Sevier hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least five batters in 13 consecutive games.

South Sevier's win was their 12th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 24-1. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.1 runs over those games. As for Millard, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-12 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. South Sevier will welcome Manti at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Millard, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Kanab at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
