Baseball Recap: Pomfret School Takes a Loss

Pomfret School was the 8-4 winner over Suffield Academy when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Griffins fell 5-2 to the Tigers on Monday.

Ryan Flynn was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out ten batters over six innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

Pomfret School's loss dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Suffield Academy, their win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 2-3.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Pomfret School beat the Tigers by a score of 10-5 on Wednesday.
