Football Recap: Hayfork Piles Up the Points Against Tulelake + How To Watch

Hayfork's rock-solid defense showed up for the team's fourth consecutive shutout on Friday. They blew past the Tulelake Honkers 60-0. The Timberjacks might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine games by 38 points or more this season.

Levi Cavalli had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 259 yards and three touchdowns on only 15 carries. His rushing production has been exceptional for a while as that marked his 21st straight game with at least 100 rushing yards dating back to last season. Daryn Douglas was another key player, rushing for 86 yards and a pair of scores on only six carries.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Hayfork was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 417 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Tulelake only rushed for 68.

Hayfork didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Evan Pickett and Mukeng Yang. Hayfork received some extra help from Cavalli, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.

Hayfork's victory bumped their record up to 10-0. As for Tulelake, their loss dropped their record down to 4-4.

Hayfork does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Tulelake, they will host Happy Camp at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Honkers will be up against the Indians' rather soft defense (which has allowed 40.75 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
