Baseball Recap: Wardlaw Academy Comes Up Short

Wardlaw Academy fell victim to Greenwood Christian and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They lost 15-0 to the Hawks. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Patriots have suffered against the Hawks since April 13, 2015.

Wardlaw Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Greenwood Christian, they pushed their record up to 9-7 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wardlaw Academy will venture away from home to square off against King Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Patriots' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Knights have averaged an impressive 8.4 runs per game this season. As for Greenwood Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against Spartanburg Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
