Baseball Recap: Lamar County Takes a Loss

Lamar County managed to slip by South Lamar the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Bulldogs lost 11-4 to the Stallions on Tuesday. The Bulldogs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Stallions earlier this season, when they won 5-3.

Lamar County has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-13 record this season. As for South Lamar, their victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-11.

Lamar County and South Lamar are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. The Bulldogs will venture away from home to challenge Sumiton Christian at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. As for South Lamar, they will welcome Gaylesville at 2:00 p.m. on Friday.
