Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hillcrest). They claimed a resounding 61-14 victory over the Idaho Falls Tigers. Given the Knights' advantage in MaxPreps' Idaho football rankings (they are ranked seventh, while the Tigers are ranked 55th), the result on Friday wasn't entirely unexpected.
Tyson Sweetwood was his usual excellent self, throwing for 334 yards and three touchdowns while completing 89.5% of his passes, and also punching in a touchdown on the ground. Jace Judy also helped with two touchdowns in total.
Another reason for the win was Hillcrest's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. In fact, those sacks all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Damien Simmons.
