Football Recap: Corsica/Stickney Takes a Loss

If Corsica/Stickney was riding high fresh off their 50-14 takedown of Tripp-Delmont/Armour/Andes Central/Dakota Christian last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Jaguars took a blow against the Avon Pirates on Friday, falling 54-8. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since October 22, 2020, but that streak is no more.

Corsica/Stickney's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Avon, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Coincidentally, Corsica/Stickney and Avon will both be playing Colome the next time they take the field. The Pirates will host the Cowboys at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Jaguars will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on the 26th.
