Baseball Recap: Bosco Tech Extends Winning Streak to Three

While Bosco Tech's victory against St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Bosco Tech Tigers skirted past the St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy Warriors 8-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Tigers have posted against the Warriors since March 29, 2022.

Tyler Tafoya and Daniel Longoria did most of the damage at the plate: Tafoya scored a run while going 2-for-4, while Longoria scored two runs while going 2-for-3. Tafoya also hit a double, marking his first of the season. Another player making a difference was David Gomez, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

The victory (which was Bosco Tech's third in a row) raised their record to 4-2. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.3 runs over those games. As for St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.
