Dinwiddie is 8-2 against Hopewell since May of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Generals will square off against the Blue Devils at 7:00 p.m.

On Tuesday, Dinwiddie didn't have quite enough to beat Colonial Heights and fell 3-2. Dinwiddie have struggled against Colonial Heights recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Meanwhile, for the first time this season, Hopewell was forced to settle for a draw. They and Petersburg finished up on equal footing with a 2-2 draw on Tuesday.

Dinwiddie now has a losing record of 3-4. Hopewell's draw makes their record 4-2-1 this season.

Everything went Dinwiddie's way against Hopewell in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, as Dinwiddie made off with a 4-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Generals since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
