Soccer Recap: Stanton Takes a Loss

Stanton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Ponte Vedra Sharks, falling 6-1. While losing is never fun, the Blue Devils can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 287th, while the Sharks are ranked 44th).

Stanton's loss dropped their record down to 4-7-1. As for Ponte Vedra, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-2.

Stanton will challenge San Jose Prep at 7:20 p.m. on Thursday. As for Ponte Vedra, they will head out to take on Fletcher at 7:20 p.m. on Friday.
