Volleyball Recap: Walker's Winning Streak Snapped at Four Games

It was a good run, but Walker unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Saturday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Druid Hills Red Devils. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Red Devils this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-1 on Saturday.

Despite the defeat, Walker saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Kinley Crisp had ten digs and one assist. Annabelle Rosen also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Druid Hills was led to victory by Sydney Patterson and Laila Wharton. Patterson had eight digs and three aces, while Wharton had one block and one assist. That's the most aces Patterson has posted over her last seven matchups.

Walker's loss dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Druid Hills, the victory (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 15-2.

Looking ahead, Walker will head out to square off against Wheeler at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Druid Hills, they will face off against North Atlanta at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
