6-Man West (6 Man) recap September 24, 2013

Minatare fell to Cody-Kilgore 56-16 last week, the largest margin of any game. Javier Guerrero was a bright spot for the Indians, as he ran for 104 yards and caught 1 pass for 12 yards in the loss.

Nathan Woodrum was the best running back in 6-Man West (6 Man) this week. He ran for 210 yards on 16 carries as Sioux County beat Hyannis. Teammate Philip Parker added to the ground attack by rushing for 49 yards.

Ellis was the best wideout in the league this week as the Warriors topped the Longhorns. Ellis racked up 5 receptions for 99 yards. Josh Kling helped Sioux County's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 55 yards.

Woodrum provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Sioux County bested Hyannis.

Woodrum was a beast in the backfield as Barry Swisher's team topped Bob Frederickson's team.

Chase Rathe put up the best numbers through the air as Wauneta-Palisade fell to Arthur County. He finished with a total of 7 completions for 131 yards and 2 touchdowns. Rathe's favorite target this week was Hayden Pollman, who caught 6 passes for 82 yards.

5-foot-10 quarterback Woodrum of the Warriors is the league leader in passing yards this season with 582. He has also thrown 8 touchdowns. The leading receiver in the league this season is Pollman. The Wauneta-Palisade star has 21 catches for 353 yards.

Fans will be treated to a premier battle in the secondary when the Broncos' Pollman goes up against Sioux County's Ellis.

Travis Hoover of the the Longhorns is just 50 yards short of surpassing 1,000 rushing yards for the season. In 91 carries Hoover has accumulated 950 yard this year.

A big matchup in the league this week will be when Hyannis takes on JJ Ozuna's team. The Longhorns are in second place, while the Indians are in fourth place.

The Wolves led 6-Man West (6 Man) in scoring this week after putting up 60 points on Wauneta-Palisade.
