Softball Recap: Cabrini Monarchs vs. Shrine Catholic Knights
Cabrini was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 17-7 to the Shrine Catholic Knights. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Knights this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-2 on Tuesday.
Cabrini saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jodi Browning, who scored a run while going 1-for-2. Browning also brought in two RBI, marking her first of the season. Mae Dmitruchina was another, scoring two runs while getting on base in both of her plate appearances.
Cabrini's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Shrine Catholic, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 5-1.
Coincidentally, Cabrini and Shrine Catholic will both be playing Our Lady of the Lakes the next time they take the field. The Knights will host the Lakers at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, while the Monarchs will head out to face them at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
