Basketball Recap: Manchester Comes Up Short

Manchester was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Michigan Center Cardinals, falling 59-34. The Flying Dutchmen were not able to make up for their loss to the Cardinals from their previous meeting back in February.

Manchester's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Michigan Center, they pushed their record up to 5-1 with the win, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season.

Manchester will take on Grass Lake in a holiday battle at at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Grass Lake will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Manchester surely won't give up without a fight. As for Michigan Center, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Michigan Center Cardinals face off against the Western Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Michigan Center knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five contests -- so hopefully Western likes a good challenge.
